As always, we will continue to evaluate our funds, services, and statistics, and we will inform the public of any other changes to services that become necessary.

We realize these service changes may come as unfortunate news to many of our patrons, but please know that the Library remains committed to delivering high-quality, professional services while maximizing all available resources.

Both items will remain in the Livingston Parish Library’s collection for now, but the library will no longer replace them when they become lost or damaged. The library also will not be able to fulfill patrons’ requests for these items.

Beginning on January 1, 2025, the Livingston Parish Library will stop purchasing the following items:

-- Launchpads
-- Video Games

-- eMusic

Beginning on January 1, 2025, Livingston Parish residents will no longer have access to Kanopy, a video-streaming platform.

For patrons who use hoopla, there is no need to cancel or delete their accounts: Starting at midnight on January 1, 2025, patrons will simply no longer be able to browse or borrow hoopla content. However, those who have borrowed items on hoopla will have access to those items for the

They will defund our library. If you live in Livingston Parish, contact ALL of the Parish Council and ask that they remove the board members working against the library staff and our residents (with their own twisted agenda).

They cannot be allowed to continue to defund and degrade our libraries.
