So today is Stella's one year gotcha day. A year ago I brought home this lovely little tuxie from SF SPCA. She was skittish and wasn't fond of me at all. She's gotten more comfortable over the year, this morning she was asleep on my bed with me in it! Happy Gotcha Day Stella!

Read it when I was 9, my dad and brother were both deployed in Vietnam and I was terrified for them. This book made me understand that life isn't fair. All you can do is treat people with kindness and do your best. I re-read it every now and then.
