LIKE ok it was for HBG which itself has been frontpaged before so it shouldn't be that surprising to me BUT I WAS THERE ON FRONT PAGE!

56. FORM (Collective) - All Nighter Vol. 10

A stunning collection of varied tracks that stands to show that the electronic music community is more alive than ever before, with the exact energy you'd expect from an all night party and then some!

55. Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz

Loud, energetic, glass_break.mp3. It smacks of early 2010s while still being firmly modern in a way that blasts your eardrums clean out, in a positive sense. Really good!

54. underscores - Wallsocket (Director's Cut)

I think I listened to this at the exact right time of year. It's a peek into yet another small town, with folks that are fucked up, but not necessarily unfamiliar to someone who lives in a place like this. A great follow-up album, really.

53. Ashnikko - Smoochies

A great taste of the 2000s R&B pop girlie vibe I've been hungering for, but with loud, modern production! The whole thing is so infectiously catchy! Recommended if you've been wanting something like Britney Spears or Pussycat Dolls.

52. Greyhaven - Keep It Quiet

One of my most favorite releases of the year, it's truly stunning! Like the Daoboys earlier in the year, I would struggle to fit all my thoughts in one post, but if you want words to describe it: emotional, catchy, frantic, energetic, HELLA RIFFS.

51. milkypossum - 7STAGES

Wonderful 'new releases' recommendation pull here, loud digital hardcore/experimental electronic for internet weirdos! Another cathartic collection of tunes, though not without its lighter moments; that is, lighter in terms of otherwise pounding beats, rather than emotion.

50. colon3 - NEVER KNOWS BEST

This EP slaps you in the face with FUNKY BEATS, the kinda stuff that makes ya wanna do dangerous skateboard tricks for fun! It's got a weird vibe to it, it knows exactly what it is, and what it is is NASTY >:3

49. PeelingFlesh - PF Radio 2

Pretty much copy and paste everything that I said about 'The G Code', it's another solid slam release from PeelingFlesh!

48. Skrillex - Bangarang EP

Yuuup, something I'm honestly surprised I hadn't listened to before- It's Skrillex! It's the kind of dubstep people used to love to make fun of, but I gotta say: It's really good! A real set of catchy electronic headbangers.

46. Vessel - Punish, Honey

Fascinating album, it stews in its industrial ideas to create something with a consistent vibe, yet, nothing really sounds the same as each other. It's wavy, sort of floaty sounding even in its more energetic moments.

45. ten56 - IO

This one didn't hit me as hard as I expected from the singles; which I think is partially just down to the fact MOST of the tracks were singles, that and they changed the mix of the first two tracks for no real reason. Still, really liked a significant portion of it.

44. colon3 - melodical malpractice

Very nice little album! Very video gamey, though with something nostalgic about it, gives the feeling the artist had a fun time making this thing in her bedroom. Something I can vibe with as a fellow bedroom electronic musician. Good shit and very varied!

43. 156/Silence - People Watching

Extremely cathartic, many tracks on this album have this unique, lurking, monologuing feeling going on when they're not hitting you with angry riffs and the occasional catchy melody. Retroactively putting this in my top 5 metal albums of 2024!

42. Deftones - Private Music

Such a smooth album, nice combination of calming/emotional and heavy instrumentation. Not a lot that's *too* different here, but I think that's perfectly fine for what this album's trying to be.

41. Signs Of The Swarm - To Rid Myself Of Truth

Baller deathcore album, these guys continue to be one of my favorite current acts in the genre, nasty breakdowns and nasty vocals all around!
October 29, 2025 at 3:01 AM
40. Dropout Kings - Yokai

Honestly it's been too long since I listened to this one to give my real thoughts on it, I know that I liked it but almost none of the songs really stuck with me, maybe because I was expecting something more like the last album? I'll have to give it another shot.

39. Three Days Grace - Alienation

I have my issues with it, not all the lyrics hit for me, and there's definitely a lull near the end of the album, but I quite enjoyed Adam's return to the band! It goes up there with their first three albums, which is what I really wanted out of this one
