I suspect billionaires and politicians support AI generated photos and video, just so they can claim that evidence of their past crimes is faked.

Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.

A former UK prime minister held responsible for tens of thousands of deaths while the US president calls for elected politicians to be hanged.

A jolt of a reminder that law and policy are ultimately about life and death.

And politicians are often not up to dealing with such things.

"AI is not just a plagiarism machine; it’s a machine that sucks the personality out of any piece of writing or art."
I love and admire Ben for many reasons, and one of them is how perfectly he is able to distill the pathetic-ness of the right and instill hope and solidarity in everyone else around him.

Anyway, go read his interview with the biggest Spanish newspaper here: english.elpais.com/technology/2...

I think it is crazy to think that Trump was complicit in the violent riots of 6th January - what the BBC did was so misleading - if he really saw those people as his fighting army he would have pardoned all 1600 of those convicted or waiting trial on the first day of his second term
