Periodic reminder to not photograph unhoused people or their homes w/out permission. It’s a breach of privacy & a safety issue. Many unhoused people are escaping violent relationships & don’t want their locations known

A Los Angeles sheriff's department deputy in Lancaster body slams & arrests a woman filming her husband be arrested for alleged theft. Filming police encounters are a 1st amendment protected right. This is wholly unacceptable behavior.

Crowds turned out for a benefit show on the second day of the week of action against 'Cop City' in Atlanta. 
Local hardcore bands played to raise money for the Atlanta Solidarity Fund, whose organizers were arrested during a raid on their home earlier this month.
The vocalist in the hardcore band Consec yells while holding up a microphone in their clenched right fist. The guitarist, bassist and drummer behind them are bathed in red and organge light. A few crowd members can be faintly seen in the foreground enjoying the music, one of them has a jacket with a back patch. A table of black and white back patches being distributed at the Atlanta Solidarity Fund hardcore benefit show. Designs include Hello Kitty in front of a tree with the message “defend the forest”, another says “Stop Cop City.” Others include a design of a turtle amidst the words “less cops, more trees.” A concert attendee standing in front of the venue wearing a sleeveless jacket vest covered in back patches looks towards the horizon where a double rainbow has appeared. Off to the side another person’s arm can be seen pointing to the rainbow as another person next to them looks at it and smiles.

The #StopCopCity movement’s sixth ‘Week of Action’ is getting underway at Brownwood Park in southeast Atlanta today - a variety of protests, gatherings, speeches and discussions are slated to take place around Atlanta over the next 7 days

They’re standing in front of a crowd of several dozen people shaded under a gazebo in Brownwood Park in Atlanta - a few miles away from where the Atlanta Police Foundation is bulldozing the South River Forest to build ‘Cop City.’ A colorful bouncy house with pointy cone tips in its four corner columns sits on the basketball court at Brownwood Park in southeast Atlanta. To its right snacks and a popcorn machine sit on a folding table.
