Pointing out the hypocrisy, errors, and faults of the Right are not enough, it’s falling on deaf (voter’s) ears. We need to figure out how to get voters away from the cult/philosophy of MAGA. Otherwise, Democrats will continue to lose at the ballot box.

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Origins of language, one of humanity’s most distinctive traits, may be best explained as a unique convergence of multiple capacities each with its own evolutionary history, involving intertwined roles of biology & culture. In AIR-BORNE, I wrote about the reluctance many scientists had to acknowledge Covid can float to new hosts. Now it looks like something similar may be happening with bird flu, which may be blowing from farm to farm. Story in @propublica.org www.propublica.org/article/bird...
What the U.S. Government Is Dismissing That Could Seed a Bird Flu Pandemic
Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air. After a disastrous Midwestern outbreak early this year, we tested that theory and found that where the wind blew, the virus followed. Vacci...

I am fine with Ukraine doing what it needs to survive even if it hurts India or China or whoever the fuck else is supporting Putin (including European countries still buying russian gas, metals and what whatnot).

Go ahead, Ukraine. 👍

Yeah, I counted about 112 posts in around a one hour period—so far.

Clearly automated content posting but very weird and unsettling nonetheless.
Trump’s Truth Social account is still posting like crazy and I don’t know if it would be better or worse if he approved everything that’s being published.

If he did approve it all, he had time for nothing else today. If he didn’t, there are so many ways for this flurry of content to be exploited.

"White House releases details of Trump's MRI scan."

As a physician, I can confidently say that I have never seen a physician nor a radiologist uses the term "perfectly normal" when describing an MRI or any other medical diagnostic exam for that matter.

A reminder to a nation with way too many people untethered to facts and truth: There’s no such thing as “The Department of War.” It doesn’t exist. Only Congress has the power to create and name executive departments & agencies. So it’s still The Department of Defense.

Thanks

OK, This NYT Hegseth PR piece is unbelievable, but I want to point out two specific ways why.

1. "As that operation unfolded, they said, Mr. Hegseth did not give any further orders to him."

This sentence says nothing new, and only raises further questions about WHY NOT; it does not clear him.
