This one at 25th and Trenton was life changing for me. Its a major pedestrian/bike connection to the areas only shopping center and cars would fly down the hill and through the intersection. There weren't crosswalk markings before the all way stop was put in!! I smile every time I cross now.

Yes, it is. Here's an example of 'environmentalists' fighting it. stopmprp.com/f/environmen...

I appreciate the contrast highlighted here. We hear repeatedly the difference in style and personality, but those represent only the surface of a substantive difference. One is inspired by the person and what he represents, the other is inspired by the mission and what it can accomplish.

I've checked at least three times since the election. Despite voting early and having checked that it was counted weeks ago. It's still marked as counted 😀

Well, according to this map its coming to Eliot Bay. Does that count as Seattle. A floating book store will be sick!

She has years of experience as an organizer pushing through legislation. That kind of coalition building is vital in a successful admin. And she didnt come after 'Dems' she specified 'a certain brand' of Dems.

However, you may refer to the work done by the excavator as 'bulldozing' when in the form of a transitive verb.

So, after spending more than $150mil, the H Line is *less* reliable, with more late busses and skipped stops, than the route it replaced? What happened here?

It's of course impossible to know whether any one particular accident would be prevented. But the data does not lie. People are alive and uninjured because of speed cameras.

This is an absolute must read. Besides all the unexpected, weird, relatable, and delightful personal details, this part stood out to me. Katie knows what it means to be Mayor. Empowering smart capable people and organizing them under a shared vision.

Lol, you can hear there contempt though. 'Why would anyone care about one stop that only comes every 15 minutes' As if that was insignificant to those who ride the 2 and it made no difference to safety for walkers and bikers.

Love this new feature on Google maps featuring transit as an alternative to driving and highlighting when it is faster or comparable. Also, love living somewhere the bus is consistently the fastest option for my commute.

Despite living somewhere with relatively bad 'walk score', I'm able to get most places in Seattle with just one or fewer transfers, walk to a grocery store, and bike most anywhere in my neighborhood. I drive maybe once or twice a week and often just because I don't feel like biking.

After centuries of debate over road closures, they've finally decided on a concept of a route.

Apparently Rob Saka thinks I, a constituent of his, am a divisive, fringe ideologue fighting a 'proxy war' for disagreeing with him on removing a safety feature along Delridge. Really disappointed to here that. @ericacbarnett.bsky.social @typewriteralley.bsky.social
