Not literal hot dogs, but hot dog equivalents.
I want to clarify that I don’t care about the man’s entirely harmless kink.

I enjoy the humorous contrast between his reputation as a giant of literature and his love of a good fart.

The best time to deal with these so-called leaders who make bad call after bad call was 20 years ago, but we can make up for lost time starting now.

The filibuster is a net benefit to Republicans in the long term, so they’d prefer to keep it.

Democrats allow Republicans to block legislation when the Democrats control the Senate.

When Republicans control the Senate, Democrats know Republicans will abolish the filibuster if they push too hard.

The filibuster is already entirely toothless when Republicans control the Senate. We saw it with the most recent shutdown.

If the Dems held out any longer the Republicans absolutely would have killed it, and then passed their budget with less than 60 votes.

Unfortunately, no billionaires will pay you to write about how raising taxes on billionaires is popular.

I always get a kick out of people learning that Joyce was a fart fetishist.

I agree but conversely, part of the reason she is a competitive candidate for the seat is the political reputation attached to her last name.

I thought her statement to the New York Times today was stronger than the press release I was reacting to last night as well.

I know, I just thought it was interesting that neither NH Senator was named in the press release.

Who made the deal that you definitely don’t support?

Kind of a weird coincidence, that 🤔

It’s not great!

The Democratic Senate caucus already contains two members that aren’t party members: Bernie Sanders and Angus King. The parties are weaker in the US because we don’t have a parliamentary system.

Will be interesting to see what Team Pappas has to say about this deal tomorrow.

Also rather suspiciously the precise number of votes needed. No more, no less.

8 out 47 is 17%. Kind of hard to spin that as “rogues”.

I’m talking about primaries. I personally think vigorous primaries are healthy and lead to stronger candidates for the general election.
