Statistically, if your name is Natalie, you should probably apply to this team anytime they get an opening.
First week at Sunset Visitor @sunsetvisitor.studio completed! Here's a smiley selfie from my first day. Really excited to be working with such a great group of people ❤️

Look, I'm glad it was Metroid, because debate skills are not a thing I ordinarily possess. In any case, you get me on A podcast for one more week.

Dredge, Drowned Lake, and now this. Freaky fishing is in.
There's going to be a generation of gamers who are going to be bored with real fishing when they find out there are no Lovecraftian horrors waiting for them at the lake.

This is like when GameTrailers got sold to Defy. Just an added "oh we'll own that too? huh"
I asked a Netflix rep if they had anything to share about Netflix's plans for the WB game studios (Rocksteady, Netherrealm, etc) and how they'd operate vis a vis the Netflix games group. The rep had nothing to share.

(Seems to reflect today’s deal focus on streaming, movies, shows and franchises)

yeah the harsh reality is that we do take a chance on small games no one's heard of a lot more often than anyone thinks we do. but literally no one reads the articles, which then reinforces to the powers that be that they're not worth doing. I don't know how to solve that problem!

I appreciate how many people out here are trying to point the spotlight!

Even if a site only covers indies and has a dedicated following, it can feel like shouting into the void.

Just did a test of the new Mario Kart World patch and I think Nintendo really outdid themselves this time.

Also - Showcases

If you put together an online showcase like State of Play, Day of the Devs, etc. and you accept submissions for indie games, get in touch with timelines and whatever else you need.

I just got a surfboard and chased a shark through a series of discos. Ninja Gaiden 4 is pretty sick, lol.

My Ninja Gaiden 4 save from like a month ago was right before the next boss fight. Glad these games have little training modes.

Getting stuck causes players to explore the world.

Dying causes players to think about what they're doing.

An "impossible" situation causes players to learn how the game works and eventually achieve the impossible.

We need to be able to design *some* games around these fundamental ideas.

Keys for streaming will be going out closer to launch.

I am being spammed to death by scammers, so make sure it's easy to verify that you are legit.

Love how in a game like Baby Steps, when I finally cave in to look at a video, that person just does the same thing I was doing, but not suck at it.
