Hello to lots of new followers over the last week! To reintroduce myself, I'm a producer for @ianhamiltonbbc.bsky.social and we cover things like disability, entertainment, business and more for BBC Scotland news. As Ian will say, "our patch is Scotland". And if you've got a story, get in touch
Wishing Major a happy retirement! We were lucky to see him in the office yesterday for one last visit as he begins his retired life. I suspect, though, that he was the gold standard for guide dogs. What a good boy.

Being Irish, living in #Scotland for nearly a decade, the last few days of international football have been some of the most thrilling I’ve ever known. WOW!!

Scotland.. the final frontier? About 12,000 space jobs might open up here in the next decade, with industry leaders warning there is a “vast gap” in some skills. So we went to speak to Scotland’s space workers of the future #space #scotland #engineering

www.bbc.com/news/article...
Who are the workers who will fire Scotland's space industry?
It is hoped the number of employees in Scotland's space industry will rocket to 20,000 in the next 10 years.

This was a great show to work on. Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t able to get my drone up near the Prison!
You're nicked! ... if you don't tune in to this week's My Kind of Town. It's in Peterhead where I learned about one of the former major employers; the Peterhead Prison. It's now a museum but was home to some of Scotland's most notorious prisoners. On the BBC Scotland channel, 8pm tomorrow night

This series of #BlueLights has been great, but this minute of TV is exceptional, and the drone shot to hand held is sublime. When one-shot was used in Adolescence I think we were all primed for it, but here I think it ups the jeopardy and adrenaline of the scene. 10/10.

Top quality filming from the floor here, even if I do say so myself
We've been flat to the mat this summer, as I've been throwing my weight around in Alloa for #mykindoftown . Tomorrow night, at 8pm on the BBC Scotland channel and iPlayer, it's a new town and yet another new outfit.

We’ve pulled out the stops to do something big on this year’s #Edinburgh Festival. I certainly think it’s worth a listen, tune in on Radio 4 tonight!
Knock knock.

Who's there?

It's me again on BBC Radio 4's #InTouch programme.

I've been to the #EdinburghFestival and spoken to some visually-impaired performers. It's on air at 20:40 this evening on #bbcradio4. Here's a taster of tonight's pack.

No heckling here.

And if you switch to BBC Two NI now, on iPlayer or such, you can see the football final. Kerry v Donegal, green and goal goliaths of the sport
For viewers across the UK, do yourself a favour and get BBC Two on now. All-Ireland final day and you’ve the chance to see the fastest sport on grass. Cork v Tipperary is one of the massive heavyweight clashes in sport. Try it, you won’t be disappointed

Absolutely brutal day of work recently at the Guide Dogs national centre. Sad to say I wasn’t able to save our cameraman from getting savaged (licked)

There's been some dressing down on this year's My Kind of Town as opposed to dressing up on day 4 of My Kind of Town filming in #Alloa. I tried to get Major's views on me doing judo, but he was tight lipped and unimpressed
