I respect how openai are doing damage control: in response to bad news they just released the most power feature imaginable! (free voice chat) And it's _insanely good_! The voice is very realistic, up to subtle disfluencies (that prove to be surprisingly helpful in terms of semantic markup!)

I'm bullish on bsky. We'll probably cross 2 million this weekend. Growth is linear, not curving up as it did for a while in summer. But my bar for success is not "replace X." It's "establish a niche for conversations that are less combative/promotional and more open than one could have on X."
