..on that strip you posted he does a solid job of showing the world outside your 1940's window very convincingly. He was good at conveying what mood the characters were in without words doing the backup. There's some conveyed angst throughout.

I really like Shuster's work. Simple, straightforward but never dull. He owes a lot to Roy Crane, but it's impressive that Shuster was able to adapt that influence and make such reliable, solid work without any real art training. Just a lot of practice at a young age.

Ditko and Wood were a solid team. Both guys were past their heyday but could still do crackling work. I generally preferred Ditko inking himself in the 70's, but Wood was probably a better fit on Stalker since it was sword and sorcery and not guys wearing hats down by the docks.
