This image is always shared today (anniversary of AD793 Viking raid on Lindisfarne). We need to have a conversation about the fact that (a) it significantly post-dates the raid (b) we don't even know that it shows Vikings (b) even if it does show Vikings we don't know it shows the 793 attack.

Just bawled my way through Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal by @robinince.bsky.social A funny and humane book, and one that stirred up an awful lot of personal stuff in a way that was quite disconcerting. Really hard recommend for anyone thinking or knowing they might be neurodiverse
