I was on the registration desk for most of the conference, and a scary number of people said that this was likely to be their last ViCEPHEC. Shrinking departments, closing departments, and removal of conference/travel funds all mentioned multiple times. A brilliant community in a terrible shadow.

@davidpalomas.bsky.social (UCL) spoke really well on his “student start up” model for problem-based learning in sustainable chemistry, and Frances Docherty (Glasgow) described work to improve community and self-efficacy, including use of the Numbas tool developed at Newcastle… #ViCEPHEC25

Reminder: electronic versions of posters and talks should be sent to the #ViCEPHEC25 email address by Thursday 21st (tomorrow).

This is important because some attendees require electronic materials to fully engage with the conference.

Just three weeks until #ViCEPHEC25.

Get in touch if you want to be added to the starter pack - we did a sweep for people named on conference abstracts, but have not systematically added attendees.
We're working on building a #ViCEPHEC25 starter pack, which you can find here. Starter packs let you follow a group of people at once.

Message if you'd like to be added/removed - this is very much a work in progress. go.bsky.app/FffPieC
