Two of the three vice presidential candidates in Taiwan's presidential election are women. It is notable that both these women are very cosmopolitan. Hsiao Bi-Khim (蕭美琴) was born in Japan and grew up in Taiwan and the US. Cynthia Wu (吳欣盈) was born in the US and has also spent time living in the UK.
