It’s a sculpture on the grounds of St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.
It brings together two symbols:

A traditional Belgian house - a symbol of peaceful, cozy Europe.
And hands in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, pierced by real bullets from the front - a symbol of a fighting Ukraine, defending Europe

When I enter an old building, the first thing I do is look up.
Chandeliers and ceilings are my special love.
This chandelier in St. Sophia Cathedral (built in 1037) is gorgeous.
I don’t know which century it’s from.

Ukraine is more than the war.

Such times, such goals.

President Zelenskyy announced a goal to produce 1,000 interceptor drones per day, given russia’s continued mass-drone warfare strategy.

A bomb hit a home in Omelnyk, sparking a fire. A 47-year-old woman escaped, but the man didn’t make it. Rescuers put out the flames.

A 'funny' (actually, not) thing
is that amidst all these
strange 'peace' negotiations,
russia continues its attacks.

Right now, half of Ukraine is
on air raid alert.
Drones.
Lots of drones.

Morning from Kyiv!
The night was loud.
From time to time,
I woke up to air defence work
on drones.
Minor damages in Kyiv,
but more in Kyiv Oblast.

I feel better,
still weak but less than yesterday.
Ready to live a new day.

I had polio when i was 9. I was taken from my parents & placed in a Hospital for contageous diseases- the polio ward. I would see them once a week - thru the glass window at the end of my ward. I could not walk. It was terrifying. Kids died. Iron lungs were awful. Dont let RFK Jr ban the vaccine
