Here's Lizzie enjoying the shade by settling underneath my leg.

And the other puppy:

The puppies seem to be getting into a better groove of sleeping -- still need a midnight/1 a.m. outside time, but at least they slept in till 5 a.m. this morning instead of 3:30 a.m. like yesterday. It's 10:30-ish and they're on their second nap of the day...

I don't know why these puppies in particular are so obsessed with tearing up grass and chewing it (our dog does it, but previous puppies we've fostered didn't seem quite as interested) but at least the rain meant there was plenty of clean grass for them to play in & chew on.

We're fostering puppies this week and despite it raining for 24 hours straight for the first day while we tried to get them outside every 3-4 hours around the clock to get some outdoor time and relieve themselves, they seem no worse for wear...

Current mood: listening to Led Zeppelin IV and icing a carrot cake with my daughter that we made from scratch this weekend.

This was the sour cherry jam I made this week! (I also got some good writing news I can't share yet.) Hope your week had some brights spots too.

I've wanted to see it since reading The Seven Crystal Balls as a child. (Not saying this would have made your experience less freaky. Possibly more so, actually...)

Here's the image, sans person posting it, but I think this includes the photog handle:

And it also comes with a cover, so I don't have to worry about things getting dirty on the way home. AND: the cargo area is a plastic crate with handles, so when I get home I can just lift it out of the metal trailer frame and bring everything inside.

This is from a couple of weekends ago, but I use my bike trailer every week or so to get groceries. This is at Costco. What I love about this trailer from Aosom is it easily detaches and becomes a hand cart, so I just take it into the store.

Hm, maybe this one is more on-the-nose:

Here's one you might like (though it's an unlikley platform plank):

Everyone else can

Hmm, given the spelling here I don't think this slogan generator is Canadian. Apropos, perhaps

They turned out pretty nice! Nice "ears" on the épis loaf, but I didn't turn them enough after getting them onto the stone. I always find that step tricky.
