We will have record lows from the upper teens to the lower 20s tonight. The record low for #Birmingham is 25° set in 1926.

The latest Drought Monitor was released today. It shows improvement with the drought conditions thanks to the rain on Sunday. It does not take into account the rain we had over the last 24-48 hours. There is still a severe to extreme drought for parts of SW Alabama. #alwx @CBS_42

The latest Drought Monitor was released today. There was not much change from last week, thanks to the rain we had on Sunday morning. SW Alabama is still in a Severe to Extreme drought, with the rest of Central Alabama mainly in Moderate conditions. #alwx

The Severe and Extreme areas are expanding northeast across Central Alabama with all of the dry conditions over the last week. The rest of the region is in a Moderate to Abnormally dry drought.

Tropical Storm #Imelda continues to strengthen over the Bahamas. It is forecast to become a hurricane on Tuesday while tracking northeast behind Humberto. It will pass over Bermuda as a hurricane on Wednesday before heading east out to sea. #tropics
