I expect a temperature graph or something.

Rabid would also be acceptable.

It's like an enemy in 1980s BattleZone arcade game.

TF 34 not getting to cross the T of Kurita exiting the San Bernadino Strait. The great missed opportunity of the war. It's bizarre that there weren't any scouting forces in that strait. Or mines. Or something.

“When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in His hand. Joshua approached Him and asked, “Are You for us or for our enemies? ” “Neither,” He replied. “I have now come as commander of the Lord’s army.”

But your graphs per post have gone up so it's another success for the Five Year Plan. 😀

Ooh, yeah. That's very suspicious.

This particular graph doesn't match your data. C&MF have consistently been improving year on year every year you've been monitoring them.

That's not a strange urge but a natural inclination.

Inconceivable!

It worked both ways. The Shire existed as a peaceful place because Aragorn’s Rangers protected it from the close threats, and Gondor prevented Mordor from rolling up the Greenway. The hobbits saved the West in turn.

And Aragorn has the strength to defeat Sauron for control of the stones because they are in fact Aragorn's stones as the direct descendant of Elendil.
October 12, 2025 at 9:51 PM
Aragorn uses that stone to reveal himself to Sauron, and to see the coming assault on Pelargir. That knowledge is what enables him to take the Paths of the Dead to get there in time to defeat the Corsairs with the ghost army, AND to raise enough forces to get to the Pelennor Fields.

The ex-Saruman/Orthanc palantir would then be the last fully useable known stone.
October 12, 2025 at 9:45 PM
And Denethor had the third known palantir that was kept at Minas Tirith. Sauron's was presumably lost when Barad-dur fell. Denethor's was partially damaged by his suicide but still usable by those who had the willpower to get beyond his death throes.
October 12, 2025 at 9:45 PM
The Palantir were a whole system of stones that could communicate with each other and were capable of far seeing. They were brought from Numenor by Elendil, and set up in various locations. Saruman acquired his when he was given control over Orthanc. Sauron got his when he conquered Minas Ithil.
October 12, 2025 at 9:45 PM
What are you talking about? Saruman and Sauron came into possession of palantirs, but they belonged to Aragorn as heir of the men of Numenor. His gaining possession of one and wresting control of it from Sauron was a key point leading to the Paths of the Dead.

Both belong to Aragorn.
