Stepped in a pothole while running yesterday and sprained my ankle. Been icing it up and now feeling like Jake Taylor after games. All iced up.

Post you from a different era. Back in college, we had a student-run group (Kennedy Political Union) that brought in some great speakers. Here is me with Jerry Springer in either 2000 or 2001.

From my thing yesterday. I went into it knowing it was a red flag, but given where things stand in my various entries, it felt like the time to roll the dice. The nice thing is getting to relax on Sunday for two of my entries.

I'm running my second marathon ever 3 weeks from today. Was reading about Susanna Sullivan who ran a 2:44 marathon AFTER fracturing her kneecap midrace! That's just bananas.

Have you looked into a way for a drop-down menu to appear? This screenshot is from the trivia game we came up with for some of the sites. With a drop-down, if I don't see something, I know I misspelled it or otherwise need to rethink it. Someone typing in a school name could know to check another.

I'm running the Philadelphia Marathon later next month. I did some quick math for carb-loading in the days leading up to it, and I am not looking forward to this. I need something like 550-600 grams of carbs per day for 3 days. This adds up to 525. This is a lot of food. 🥴🥴🥴

This went to my spam, but this person knows me. I'm more inclined to take advantage of the lunches being ordered at work, but I appreciate the effort.

Somehow it is absolutely fitting that Kalshi announced a partnership a month ago with Mark Sanchez's podcast. Wonder if they'll set a market for if that partnership will get canceled 😏 (h/t @dustingouker.bsky.social)

Reminder from my Survivor article this morning. Even without Purdy, Pearsall, and Jennings, never pick a Survivor team in an NFC West TNF game.

Explanation coming later at some point, but we had no problems and the nurses ended up basically being like, if we don't see the cans, we didn't see any beer. I got some pizza, my brother got some beer, and we were all good.

Here's their current contract and a screenshot of some excluded editorial positions. No idea if she's a "Digital Opinion Editor", but if so, she would not be in the union.

This weekend is Art All Night in DC. Up in Mt. Pleasant it was all sorts of fun. In spite of all the federal bullshit, there's still plenty of joy in DC.

It was a fun night in DC. The DC Freedom Run group continued with its second run, this time a 5.1k out of Dupont Circle. When the run got back, the monthly DC Bike Party had gathered and was getting ready to leave. There was also a salsa dancing group having a fantastic evening. Just a great night.

Imagine showing someone this headline 10 years ago. They'd be wildly confused by what it's supposed to mean.

DC folks: ICE and other feds have been coming through buildings in Adams Morgan buzzing to get in. If you're in an apt or condo building, might be worth putting something like this up on your doors and distributing to residents. @dcmigrantmutualaid.org @51st.news @wcp.bsky.social

The Freedom Run went super well. We ended up with 200-300 people. Here are some photos to give you an idea of the group size. And plenty of great responses along the route down and around the White House.

My student loans moved back into repayment for the first time since the pandemic started. Not great, but I do get to make progress toward my income-based repayment timeline. 4 years and 3 months is a ways off, but a whole lot better than what it was before the pandemic!
