I think that some on the right do not get this and feel that Nazism (including making Nazi salutes as Elon Musk did) is another trolling tool with which they can “own the libs”.

Please read the science fiction novel “Starship Troopers” by Robert A. Heinlein. In it, full citizenship (including the right to vote) is limited to those that have completed military service (or government service?).
