Oof, what if we did good things for people instead?

Read a book.
Not sure how intentional it was, but the quick edits removing the space between each word in the "long slow walk up the hill towards the camera" scene cracked me up.

It's almost like we should have just one big system that covers everyone, including those who've yet to submit a claim, instead of funneling some of the highest amounts of money in the world to private companies 🤷‍♂️

Thank you so much for writing this.

I really enjoyed the first part.

And the rest really needs to be said, understood, and acted upon.

This is beyond stupid. A vote gets you nothing. They already voted to cut it. They'll just do it again.

You think you're playing long ball but you're just caving to bullies at your most powerful moment.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Not having to face voters in 2026 makes it even worse.

Coward.

My 7th grader just presented a project this week on punishment and torture, where I learned that this is, in fact, called a pillory, not stocks. Kids these days 🤷‍♂️

At least it's not referring to "worst since 2009" anymore. That must be good.

Wait, what happened around 2003?

I've seen QA do some miraculous things.

But you're almost certainly right.
November 6, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Hah, you're so right.

How much of this is driven by actual cost saving attempts vs complete disrespect for testers?

Please stop, I'm already dead.

If I had to pick either dev or qa to be replaced with LLMs, I think better results would come out of replacing dev 🤮

Republicans just learned of the word "hyperbole" a year or two ago and, being experts now, continue to show they don't understand it.

Bizarre take. Makes me wonder if you know what neoliberalism actually is.

Is it the smugness, which you agreed with in another reply, that you object to?

Or the cringe of striving to be competent?

How would you describe the character of the people who will run your post-revolutionary systems?
