It is now up to us to recommit to this great task, to resign these new segregationalists to the dustbin of history, and create a new constitution that is fully committed to realizing the true potential of the ideals of the Declaration, one that truly embraces “the entire family of man.”

Hypothetically. If embracing Mamdani meant that there would definitely be 2026 elections and the Dems would sweep Congress in a landslide , would you embrace Mamdani ?

i think one issue is that this approach has proven to be a total failure. a partisan who sees the right as morally deficient will have had a better track record at predicting the events of the last few years than someone who is endlessly trying to demonstrate their nuance.
