I used an Epson flatbed scanner for a load of slides I had. It has a slide holder so you can do a batch in one go. I’ve not used in since (read, years), but I can dig out, make sure it works and you’re welcome to borrow it for as long as you like.

Interesting account here from someone who flew with my grandfather in a different Battle towards the end of the Battle of France: www.49squadron.co.uk/personnel_in... The details are a touch muddled up, but the overall sense of what it must have been like is fascinating

Fascinating part of the war, often overlooked. Seems like absolute chaos at the end. It took until 1953 for the family of observer who died, Tom Jones, to find out where he was buried.

Just finished listening to this. Nice to hear the AASF covered. My grandfather was a pilot in 142 Squadron and shot down on 17 May 1940 flying a Fairey Battle. He and his wireless operator survived but his observer died of his wounds later that day.

Dogs and wolves are descended from a common ancestor. This book on dogs and how they’re not really wolves is fascinating: www.penguin.co.uk/books/176833...

Or there's the M&S way if you want to upset people in both Devon and Cornwall

You’re best with a vac that has a brush bar with anti-tangle. The Shark Stratos models are good (corded or cordless), and Dyson from V15 up have similar tech. I review vacuum cleaners, so have seen most recent models.
