Only 11 cancellations so far at O’Hare. I wish luck to everyone flying today. Gusts are up to 50 mph. My neighbors fence partially knocked over and I have all of my block’s uncollected leaves in my yard.

Look, I know prices are up but it’s pretty darn easy to find a cheap turkey if my weekend shopping was any indication. Still $.99 a pound for frozen on sale at the grocery. Costco had fresh small turkeys for $15.

On a $400k house with 20% down you’d pay a MILLION DOLLARS in interest on a 50 year loan. I’m assuming an 8% rate. 30 yr at 6% still an astounding $370k in interest.

Why aren’t all Democrats shouting they’ll pass Air Traffic funding as a standalone immediately? Sign a letter with every House and Senate Dem on it. It’s not being funded because Congress is out of session. Only reason. I don’t think Americans separate it from the healthcare issue.

Maybe just cheaper to pay for the healthcare extension? I’m not a numbers guy or anything though.

There’s a LOT to be said about what’s going on but as a middle aged man I’d be petrified to do these steps after a plain flight in front of the world. I fly all the time. I’m wheeling my overhead through a sky bridge. Why are we making the leader of the free world of any party do these steps?

I doubt many kids will notice a different mix in their bags this year but we are at the “Folks can’t afford Halloween candy” point of the storyline.
Even the joy of Halloween will cost more this year, with less chocolate than in years past.
