Older but not necessarily wiser.
Phil Thompson nearly ran me over and Sammy Lee told me I look like Eric Clapton. Not sure which was worse.
Once complimented on my beard by Jeremy Corbyn.
Would put cauliflower and Mick Hucknall into Room 101.
295/365 Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye 'Diana & Marvin'

A total free hit, this, and a welcome one after whatever Throbbing Gristle was.
It's fantastic, obviously, and I'm going to make it my mission in life to get a jumper like the one Marvin's wearing on the cover.

294/365 Throbbing Gristle ’20 Jazz Funk Greats’

This one was always a risk. I feel I should apologise to @thecenci.bsky.social for it.
As titles go, ’42 Minutes You’ll Never Get Back’ would also work, and it's more accurate.
I can cope with weird and experimental, but I just don’t get this, at all.

293/365 Example ‘Playing In The Shadows’

Another one where I knew the name but never listened to.
Again there were some tracks that reminded me of unenjoyable nights in bad clubs, but overall alright.
Not going to sign up for the pre-sale for tour tickets, but might give another album a go.

There were highlights?

Could be a stressful next few months...
But considering we nearly folded in the summer due to numbers, and we've got more new players in the squad than ones that were with us previously, they're all having a great season.

People don't realise how tiring it is, having little ones wanting to play with you all the time.

Knowing 18 month olds, being told to leg it is probably his favourite game. He'll be up for playing it all night. You'll get tired of it long before he does!

I remember having that chat with my dad when the lads were little.

"You have remembered you're having the boys tonight, haven't you?"

*then run out of the door as fast as we could*

292/365 Sweet 'Desolation Boulevard'

Some glam stuff has aged terribly, some still sounds great today. This is in the latter group, thankfully.
Riffs that some modern bands would kill for, and huge choruses. Proof that quality is timeless.
Drum solos on record are even worse than live ones though.

291/365 Spain 'The Blue Moods Of Spain'

Legend has it that when Rick Rubin heard this, he bought 30 copies to give to friends.
It's an interesting one. Parts are beautiful, and musically it's very good, but it's also slow, and GOD it drags.
I'd love to hear a sped up version that only lasts 40mins.

There's a video as well? On my way into the office but can see me ending up down a Youtube rabbit hole here...
