If all else fails don’t forget your legal routes too, I’ve never had to use them (CEDR is some sort of arbitration service I think) but the FlyerTalk forums have threads about your options

It seems like you’ve fell down a customer relations hole where it seems ages to get a reply about anything. Unfortunately it’s not unique to BA, I’ve personally had issues with Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines in the past. It’s frustrating when it happens

I remember when I first starting using Hilton regularly around 2009 I started as gold (through Amex I think) and the rooms always had three jars of treats in there. One was nuts, another jelly things and can’t remember the third. Now there’s more variance. Some places do well others do the minimum

It’s nice having lifetime diamond. Some hotels use it to distinguish you from other diamonds when handing out upgrades or sometimes nice gestures like a gift in your room (although some don’t differentiate between regular and lifetime)
