Mailed my ballot in today as part of the #WeAreTheUniversity campaign. It is unacceptable how employers are failing the public and their employees, and it is shameful that the prev gov't sacrificed public goods on the Altar of Austerity and that this gov't isn't willing to fix the problem

Today @ehudreiter.bsky.social let me take a look at his old copy of the #ACL proceedings from 1993. The proceedings for the entire conference fit into about 300 pages and you received a physical copy. My how the times have changed!

This week @uniofaberdeen.bsky.social had a strong presence at #HealTAC2025, a conference on NLP in healthcare. We had a demo from the ASICA project, work from an undergrad working with NHS Grampian, and two PhD students presenting work to help patients! Adarsa Sivaprasad even won best poster!
Seven researchers from University of Aberdeen pose from the balcony of the Glasgow University Union's debate chamber.
