Good Morning, Vietnam

I have no idea if this is good or bad

Our local film industry group had a small Halloween social yesterday and showed one of my shorts - The Souvenir - made way back in 2015. Got a good response from the audience. I was thrilled to see that it held up and looked pretty good for a zero budget, me as all crew production :-) #shortfilm

Things I had to explain after introducing the kiddo to Wayne’s World:

Cable access television

Do you have some grey poupon?

Laverne and Shirley

Car! (Move hockey net) Game on!

Robert Patrick as the T-1000

ChiaPets

Even with all that, she loved it, especially Garth

Party on, excellent!

I’m really delighted with the latest draft of HIGH MOON, (my stoners meet aliens on the moon feature) so much tightened up, new exciting scenes added and ended up with the same page count 106!

So I watched the original Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 last night, again. Love that film but always think Gene Hackman is in it :-)
So tonight, do I watch the 2009 Tony Scott remake or stay in the early 70s and watch The Hot Rock, written by William Goldman, starring Robert Redford?

Check your kitchen to see if you have an extra Tupperware lid - I truly believe that’s what happens to missing socks. I don’t know how, but that’s what I believe

Proud dad moment-Took the kiddo to her first concert last night - Tears for Fears! Amazing show, stellar musicianship and terrific light show - two hours of great new tunes and lots of hits. If you can see this show it’s worth it!

Is Peter O'Toole not an incredible tour de force? I tell you, he's one that I'd have loved to have a drink (or nine) with.
Lawrence of Arabia
(a million other amazing roles)

So tonight is a retro night for me: Looker (1981), Brainstorm (1983) and The Dead Zone (1983)
Finney and Dey, Wood and Walken, Walken and Cornenberg. Could you find a better trilogy?
