I don't think that happens to everyone, I don't feel like everyone lingers every day with their greatest fear. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe we all live with this and just hide it from each other.

It is inevitable, that is life. One day, hopefully many decades from now one of us will be alone again. Eventually my heart will be separated in two and I will not be able to be complete any longer. That's my deepest fear, and every night when I close my eyes thoughts of thay thay will entail come.

The thing that gnaws at me is far worse because it is not something that could happen but something thay will. It's being separated from my beloved wife by death. Something happening to her, something I cannot fix, where she is somewhere I cannot help her. That's my true fear.

Terrified of needles. Makes me nauseous just writing this. I've avoided so many appointments, never had blood taken and will actibky avoid going even near places with needles like dentists offices or hospitals. Even someone talking about them makes me queasy but it's not my greatest fear.

I can't swim, and I know the feeling of drowning. Almost died as a kid. But that's not my greatest fear. I know in the moment, if I were dropped in the ocean my thoughts would be flooded with fear. But I knwo that's not my greatest fear.

How often do people really think about their greatest fear? I do it nearly every night, the depression likes to kick in hardest when I'm trying to sleep you see. But I don't think that happens for everyone, I don't think their greatest fear is an ever presant feeling.
