I'd very much like to know this myself, because I think the fans need to know who to reach out and complain to. *Just* supporting human dubs, while greatly appreciated, isn't enough. Whoever made the call to green-light an AI dub needs to hear what the fans think about it.

LittleKuriboh posted a clip on his BlueSky account. I think it's important that anime fans watch that clip, because it shows what companies view as "acceptable" quality in AI dubbing, and it's important that fans know...
1) That it's happening.

Hi! Union member here. Trust me, I and many other union actors would *loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove* it if we could ban AI. Unfortunately, that's not legally feasible (otherwise we would). So, in the absence of legal feasibility, SAG-AFTRA went the "regulate as much as possible"-route.

I agree, Amazon should definitely quit with AI dubs! Like I said, I won't publicly name dubs/performances that I thought came out bad out of consideration for the unknown factors and the feelings of the humans involved...but even the worst human dub I've ever heard is better than this. By a lot.

PS/Clarification: That moratorium has, as of this writing, not been enacted yet--but unless modified by Congress, it will be on Monday. So there *is* still time to kill this moratorium--call your senator (don't email, *call*), and ask them to do so!

On the one hand, yes, but on the other hand, I think Bluesky's character limited prevented me from being as elaborate as I wanted to be. As of now, that moratorium has *not* been enacted. The National Defense Authorization Act that includes the moratorium will be debated in the senate on Monday.
