Galaxy Express 999.

The most expensive anime thing I ever bought was my Maison laserdisc set. I got it back last year. I was telling the friend I sold it to that I was going to buy one to replace it and he was like 'you can just have it back', so i was thrilled.

This was the result of my 'Brush on Stick' technique painting the foyer over the stairs. I'm sure close up there are imperfections, but from Monet distance I think it turned out pretty good!
A photo of my foyer over the stairwell. The paint is trimmed up to the edge of the molding. It turned out pretty well. I did this standing on a ladder with a paint brush tied to a broom handle. I was shocked that worked, actually.

I'm on my desktop. Here is that stunning final screen!

I was quite happy, because the attempt before this I died about an inch away from this screen before I ran out of time, but I figured there would be a *little* more than just that.

Harry is on the right side of the screen, mid-run, one of the collapsing lakes is just a small bar in the center of the floor. In the tunnel below a scorpion patrols. The game is frozen with 0:23 seconds remaining, and the final score is 113416. I beat the game on 3/16/20.

We were looking for a new fixture for the foyer. This wasn't the one we picked, but I thought that was a really cool idea for wall art!
A lifestyle photo of a 4-lamp fixture on sale at Lowe's. The fixture has a circular base and four angles pieces that reach up from the circle to where it attaches to the cord. Each lamp has a 'cracked' style glass flute around edison bulbs pointing upward. But the fixture, while okay, was not what I was looking for. But they did have a piece of art in the photo that was really cool. It had a distressed white frame, and they used the architectural floorplan of a building (maybe a cathedral. I couldn't really tell). But I thought that's a great piece that anyone could make. Get an old piece of art from a yard sale or thrift store (buying mainly for the frame) and then use the print from an old art book for the floorplan part.

I went down a soap-opera-related internet rabbit hole, but I discovered that the actors who played Tom and Margo from 'As the World Turns', Justin Deas and Margaret Colin, got married in real life! And are still married apparently!

That's cool! I just found this picture on my hard drive (looking for a different picture of course). Someone had pulled down the instructions and built the Falcon from whatever bricks they could find. 😂
A LEGO Millennium Falcon that is made up of many different colored pieces. The o.p. on Tumblr said that they always wanted to build it, and that you could download the instructions online. So they built it with whatever pieces they had handy.

So this came today. Oh my God is it huge! I am so in over my head with this thing it's crazy.
The box are for the 1:350 scale Refit Enterprise model from Star Trek. The art is from the old Star Trek: The Motion Picture poster with Kirk Spock and Ilya lit in rainbow colors behind the Enterprise.

I have been playing the game 'Lies of P' and damn is that good! It's like a Soulslike, but not as punishing. And the art design is incredible. And so far the story is too.

I totally agree with that. "I Don't Care Anymore" came on Sirius XM and I was explaining to my kid that Phil Collins had been Genesis' drummer before Peter Gabriel left. So there's so much great percussion-especially on his solo stuff. And then I realize she's looking at me like I'm:

Thanks! I appreciate it. I'll check it out! Yeah for the poster I was able to take the picture of the PHB cover from the D&D Art book, scan it at 600 dpi, and then adjust down to make it poster sized. It turned out pretty cool! This is a small version of how it turned out.

Little life hack: these short extension cords (like 6 inches) are great to have around. When you've got a power strip and a power brick is too big and covers up another slot, just use one of these.
6" three prong extension cords. Great for plugging into a power strip then plugging in a big fat power brick that would block the spot beside it.

That is gorgeous! And what a contrast to my home town 😂! Oh, actually someone perfectly epitomized growing up in Central PA. Although this is much funnier if you've played Elden Ring.
