I think part of it is that the main show is done so any other project they is inherently a side thing to explore the characters or an idea more rather than “here’s the continuation to the main show you’ve been waiting for”

He has such a fun design and I love how Oda is always drawing fun and weird looking characters. So many Shonen try to be so serious all the time but I prefer something that can balance being goofy and silly with having a serious story

Yes he is a perfect example of this! Oh how after the time skip he’s more interested in fleshing out the villains and showing you how they became who they are in the narrative now. I never thought I would find Doflamingo to be compelling as a character but Oda made me care about him

He is and I really enjoy it, it’s always so exciting when he cuts to what another character is doing, especially when they’re not important to the current story, or when a flashback gives you so much about a character you weren’t expecting to get more time with

Whole Cake is great, such a fun story while also exploring interesting characters and the ways families deeply impact each other in ways that feel fresh despite being written 20 years into this series

It’s a different game than 10-2 (which was the point), and while I don’t think the characters and setting get the time to breathe they did in 10, it uses the original to create an experience that stands next to it, an engaging conversation you miss out on if you don’t play both

Despite Sin being destroyed, Spira was still going down a path where the past would be repeated and destruction was inevitable, (represented through a ghost of that past being the one leading the charge), but through moving on, Yuna finds a new path forward, a very beautiful and powerful message

Wild it’s that old cause I don’t know if there’s been another game since that has mixed game interactivity with a layered, surreal, metaphoric storytelling nearly as well

It can be overwhelming at points but I love that so much is constantly happening in Twin Peaks
