A new source of joy is putting together cutesy ensembles featuring my hand spun, handwoven bands. Today it might storm, so I've got googly eye clouds, whose lightning bolts informed the choice for the red and yellow hair band, which then inspired the rest of the outfit.

March has been super unbelievably hard. Between multiple pet deaths, a career shift, innumerable paperwork snafus, and too many sleepless nights, I'm worn extremely thin. But at least I have a tiny chicken in my purse to squeeze.

A knitting work in progress. It is all garter stitch. The yarn is mostly brown with white flecks. The bottom has several pointy triangles. There is one thin line of red/orange in the center of the pointy triangle section, and a thick line of the red perpendicular to that. (The photo is the answer to the joke because it is the tail section of the popular "Emotional Support Chicken" pattern...chicken butt!)

Here are some new wristers to go under my mittens. I like them for keeping the draft out while making it quick and easy to pop mittens on and off.

The edge of the hand rolls more than I'd prefer, so I'll make another pair with ribbing at the top.
