The Detroit Hands Off protest today stretched for miles, it was so powerful when we all realized that we were seeing the front of the protest looping back on the opposite side of the street when were 1.5 miles from the end. Glad a friend got video on her way to work, it really shows the scale.

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”
I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

So many of us on the academic and research side have told you to read people Schmitt and understand they know that you rely on institutions and they are using that reliance to destroy democracy while you flail and attempt to use the institutions that no longer exist to stop them.

there is an influx in accounts trying to get people to start doing things that would be used against them in court or against this company if the far right wanted to shut it down. Infiltrator accounts have shown up all over the place and they are pushing propaganda to try and get people to act
I don't think I was as clear as I could have been here, there are lots of new "let's do an insurrection together, fellow lefties!" accounts that I find tremendously suspect
