i tried that yeah. i did see something about it having to do with the internet provider in some cases, so i tested it with my mobile hotspot and it worked. i've never had this happen before though and there's nothing wrong with our internet provider. sometimes it still works tho so who knows

unfortunately the problem persists. the game worked fine the last couple of days but yesterday this error popped back up. apparently players have been having this problem for a while and there's not really a solution that has worked for everyone. is there a way someone could look into this?
