I was always shocked at how much they produce. This was in Sydney just after they did their snowblower to cover everything up!

First captive bred batch of Forcipiger flavissimus from Biota! This one is happily searching for food in my garage tank along with its tank bred Yellow Tang friend. Ignore my planaria lol #reeftank #ichthyology

Definitely AI, the diver's leg has knees that bend two directions. Also while yes Lizard Island got hit hard, there were still lots of live corals when I was there in May. Port Douglas has huge, completely healthy areas too. Photos from my GoPro:

The real solutions aren't achievable by one foundation or even one government. They could domestically replant more mangroves along areas with erosion & reduce fertilizer use, but that takes decades. This is a pretty low risk delay tactic. FWIW I didn't see a single star yesterday on three sites

Forest fire or bubble gum digitata have always been weeds for me. At least they lose out to acropora when they spread! (Bottom right of it stung and checked by the TSA Fuzz)

I went with the CADE 1500. Extremely well designed but pricey. The bigger question is what are the dimensions of the space you're looking at and what's the floor rated to?

I've never started a tank without live rock (or dry live rock I've cured for weeks) in 30 years so would highly recommend seeding with some clean biomedia from a local tank without pests. The sooner you start, the better you'll end up. Just toss the rock in a bin to get the clock started like this:
