Today’s other classic album. Say what you like about Sting, his first solo album is a masterpiece. Two things really stood out to me today:
1. Interesting production: the vocal is often quite distant, it’s like the band is between us and the singer. I wouldn’t do it like that, but it sort of works.

For the last year I’ve been slowly working through my entire record collection, cleaning a couple most days and listening to them. It’s been great to reacquaint myself with so many great albums. This gem from 1990 is a real treasure and today’s favourite.

LOL Apple Music made me a playlist of my ‘favourite’ songs in honour of its 10th birthday, and it’s a mix of all the songs of ten albums I was obsessed with at various times, plus every song I ever had to learn for a cover gig or parody song recording.

Having two-factor authentication on a web service via an authenticator app which itself has two-factor authentication to get into it, is probably extra secure but really feels like overkill and is annoying as hell when you’re in a hurry.
