I just mean, there’s no reason to run to the right in order to get any of those votes which is what for whatever reason my party has been insisting on. Like absolutely not. We don’t need it.

Consistently with the party has been bad at is Communications. There has been what seems to be a values based refusal to adopt modern Communications practices or to fight fire with fire with the exception of Governor Newsom. The party lost on messaging over and over.

Nobody is suggesting that it should be accepted. But we can’t pretend that it wasn’t widely normalized at the time and that we all had to live through it. Absolutely nothing in my post was designed to suggest that it should continue or that it was ever OK. It’s more widespread than one rich dude
