The fact it is possible to arrest them makes it worse. State governments can arrest active federal officers when they break the law while violating constitutional rights. It's been done before.

I call LLMs the iPods of AI. Eventually they'll be one component integrated into more advanced tech.
It's bad tho. From building data centers w/ GPUs. To reading new research & realizing AI companies can't do what they claim. To business building AI systems that are already outdated. It's a mess.

Most likely LLMs will become the iPods of AI. They will only exist as a built-in feature of something more advanced.

The worst part is, it was always going to fail cause the technology is still being researched & it's using hardware that isn't supposed to run AI. So irresponsible.
Research is suggesting the reliability problems of llms is a characteristic & not fixable. Research into alternative tech is needed.

It's worse. That money is being spent on inadequate hardware for tech that can't do what was promised. Data centers are built on tech that can't process AI efficiently. GPUs running AI are expensive, slow & waste energy. LLM tech has plateaued. AI accuracy issues aren't solvable w/o more research.
