Taught myself how to do cyanotyping. It’s a little tricky in Western Washington in late September because you have to catch the sun when it’s out. But it did poke out for a few minutes.

I guess it depends on what you consider predominantly to mean. According to the 2020 Census Seattle is about 60% white and other races are less than 17% each, with most under 10%.

Why are the invasive species so pretty?
Arrowhead flowers. Long green stems with a bunch of small flowers with three white petals each and a yellow green center. Asiatic lilies. Reddish and green lily pads float in the water. Interspersed there are a few white lotus flowers.

Belted kingfisher that was hanging out on my dock this morning. I shared the picture with my children the conversation about ut took a turn.

These two fledging eagles have taken up roost in the trees along my driveway. I was startled when I came home earlier because animal protection people were in my driveway because one of these fellas had been on the ground. Which is not an approved activity for eagles. #photograpy #wildlife #eagle
