Trying hard to get to 100 books read by year end. Just finished #AmericanRoyalty by Tracey Livesay. Almost DNF’d but by 40% it got better and turned out to be a good read. Now I need another #BookSky recommendation 📚

Ep2 of #EarthAbides was better than the first ep, but still paced a bit faster than I would have liked. I need a better read on Emma, but some vulnerability built in for her and Ish works. I do like that so far it’s a peaceful kind of earth and humanity centered setup. Does the violence start? Or???

#Wicked and #Glinda specifically resonates with some people in a purely superficial way and glosses over the danger of people like her.People who are your ally until it costs them. People who really just want you to assimilate to fit in with them for their comfort. Your "otherness" rubs them wrong.

#Wicked wasn't a bad movie, but the folks who need to see the messages and the themes about treating others poorly don't recognize it anyway. Glinda was a villain. the 1st thing she tried to do was give Elphie a makeover. Do you need to be made over if nothing was wrong in the first place?

We are teaching the next generation that being a part of a group or accepted is important and at 45 years old I learned that it's not. when you free yourself from others' opinions fo you, is when you are free.

Being #seen actually feels very dangerous and the least important of the themes. When your enemies see you is when you are in the most danger. When Moribelle saw Elphie's power it made her a target for the wizard. to me acceptance from others is never what we should strive for. Accept yourself.
