I am enjoying #TennisChannel showing French Open doubles play! Most times, grand slam broadcasts are singles only (too often men & American players as the focus IMO). It is a joy to watch my favorite players Paolini, Errani, Hsieh, & Mertens playing doubles. My cat, George, follows the action, too!

Man Ray Day! Yesterday was Museum Day. I forgot the great Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton 🇫🇷 . I’m really into those crazy Dadaists from 100 years ago. Ray, Dali, Buñuel, and their muses living poor, but well on the Riviera. IDK what they were on, but they saw the future!

BARBARIAN DAYS - the Pulitzer Prize winning memoir of New Yorker writer, William Finnegan. Focusing on his life while surfing (It is a fabulous history & description of the sport), it is 1 of the best descriptions of the sea & in all moods. Finnegan also describes courage & dedication in new ways.

I liked some songs from my mother’s Broadway cast albums or from her favorite Belafonte/Mathis/Williams records. I liked the occasional song from the radio in Dad’s garage workshop. However, the 1st song I discovered for & by myself was the 🇬🇧Invasion rocker “All Day & All of the Night” by The Kinks.
