A very well deserved win there for Brody. It’s an astonishing performance that I honestly didn’t think he still had in him. #oscars

"Your foreign policy is blocking the path." A history-making speech. So, so very glad the filmmaking team got to walk on stage to make it.

One of the great Oscar wins. One of the great Oscar speeches. Incredible. #oscars

I don’t know if there’s a nominee I’m rooting for more than No Other Land, an essential film which still doesn’t have US distribution. I don’t know if Hollywood feels the same way though… #oscars

Diane Warren may burn down the Dolby if she gets beaten for the 16th time for Emilia Perez, and she would bd right to. #oscars

I just realized that Isabella Rossellini is wearing blue velvet in honor of David Lynch & immediately started to cry.

This is Saldaña’s to lose, right? …right? My pick would be Grande but I feel there’s only the tiniest possibility of her winning. #oscars

Lovely to see someone win an Oscar for writing, editing and (most likely) directing too. A real celebration of truly independent filmmaking. #oscars

There’s your Best Picture winner, folks. #oscars

So happy for Sean Baker, someone who lives and breathes cinema, constantly supporting theaters and home video labels loudly and publicly. I hope this is only his first award of the night #oscars

Extremely proud of Baker—a good dude who has hustled and grafted in his own lane for such a long time. #oscars

I think the Original Screenplay award is going to decide which way this night is going. If The Brutalist wins it’s all over for Anora and vice versa. #oscars

a $4 million movie made in a year on free open-source software winning the Animated Film Oscar is going to make the industry a little shook

As much as I’d like to see Memoir Of A Snail, Wallace & Gromit or Flow win this, I feel like beating a big studio animation like The Wild Robot is gonna be tough. #oscars

BRING. BACK. OSCAR. CLIPS. #oscars

There’s going to be some huge upsets at the Oscars tonight but I’m getting the sense that the big one could be Fernanda Torres winning the Madison v Moore battle for Best Actress.
March 2, 2025 at 11:47 PM
I’m expecting a weird night at the Oscars. I think Demi has the Best Actress momentum, Eisenberg could pull off an Adapted Screenplay surprise, and The Brutalist is essentially getting a runners-up prize with Best Director. With that in mind, I can’t see Anora taking home Best Pic as its only award.

Among everything else, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is making me laugh out loud more than any other modern video game has this side of Yakuza.
