Bummed to read that (Space) Ace Frehley died today... Love or hate 'em, KISS transcended being a band and became iconic characters that are larger than life. Needless to say, Ace's unique look and sound were no small contribution to that legacy. ✨

Watching all of the original Universal Monster movies in chronological release order really feels like a shared universe, even before they start crossing over ("Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man"). They were definitely ahead of their time in that regard. Crazy they lost the formula in our current age.

When I say I watch Anime, I'm generally referring to something like "Dirty Pair", or - probably more accurately - an OVA that barely (if ever) escaped the VHS era, like "Fight!! Iczer-One" or "Hyper Combat Unit Dangaioh". 🤓 Since this is 2025, most folks assume I mean "Chainsaw Man" or "Dandadan". 🤷♀️
