Recently, I started using The Literary Witches Oracle to gain some deeper insight into myself and my current WIP. I know cards only have meaning because I give them meaning, but DAMN, sometimes the cards are freakishly accurate. I fucking love this deck!

I even remember where I was when I bought it. My parents had the record player in their room so I bought it on cassette so I could listen to it on repeat in my room.

This is Bubbles. He was the hummingbird who loved our yard when we lived in Phoenix. I really, really hope the new people are changing his water and taking good care of him. Bubbles never landed on me, but he did like to hover over my head when I changed his water.

@stirlingmorris.bsky.social and I met our adult son in the Pearl District for lunch after he got out of class. It's usually too busy to get a good pic, but today was perfect! Just 3 months before Chef graduates! He's looking into working abroad, & I'm thrilled, but I'll miss all his amazing food.

When my partner is out of town and I can't get that new horror project out of my head...I light some black candles, pour myself a cold beer, and settle in.

Look at this beautiful old girl living her very best life!

We think she's around 12, but aren't sure. We busted her out of Doggo Jail 5 years ago, and it's been a joy to watch her go from terrified and skittish to happy and chill. She's also THE BEST writing partner! #Authors
