One foot in the old place, one foot here. Convince me to move full time. Used to row a lot over there but gave it up as it's no good for your mental health.

Talk to me about House Music, Raves, Clubs, Football, Cricket, Psychology, Film, Art and politics.
I'm stuck in the same loop, unfortunately/fortunately. The change has come at a cost but slowly rebuilding from the inside. Work in progress.

Im sure he'll be back, smelling of concrete in no time.

I can't begin to imagine that stress. I think that would have potentially sent me over the edge if I was dealing with that situation.

I'd say that I was fortunate to be able to work all the way through, but the burnout I've suffered has been a helluva mental price to pay.

I think im suffering from PTSD from it now. Didn't realise how much shit I took on at the time.

Are we still in Lockdown?

That shows the lack of a decent opposition from the right and the general fear of progressive politics. It seems to me that to protect themselves, their wealth and relevance, they have to back the most ludicrous option avaliable ala Trump in the US and to hell with the consequences.

It's boring the lack of patience we're seeing after 14 years of rope being given to the predecessors.

Bored of all this now. He handled himself extremely well in the interview despite some persistent grilling.

If he does end up replacing Starmer, at some point I can see him being the leader, he'll be a good leader.

Yep, and the majority of the country are being led to believe it all. How many fucking chances did the previous lot get over 14 years.

I'm sorry that you had had to go through that. In Starmers' defence, the sunlit uplands have not been promised by his government.

16 months into a 5 year term. Lets judge them at the ballot box in 2029 and give them the next 3 and a half years to make that progress instead of all this doom and gloom.

The short-termist pessimist view of any government is pissing me off. We've had 14 years of a government getting chance after chance, yet this government is expected to get it right 1st time. It was ALWAYS going to be a second term solution. [Try and] fix the foundations first.

More unpopular than any of the preceding 14 years of revolving door PMs?

One of us has to go!

Is it a fault of my own ignorance [interest] or my teaching that I did not know any of the above information?

For the UK, Check out a guy called Daniel Hannan. He is so consistently wrong he got given a knighthood.
