Perfect choice on the final day of #ChristmasMoviesAdvent Christmas Eve in Italy watching this absolutely brilliant Italian Christmas Eve dark comedy with one helluva twist. Loved it. Buon Natale ya filthy animals! 🐍🎄🇮🇹

Day 22 #ChristmasMoviesAdvent the snowMAN is such an innocent that a. I was genuinely very concerned about the dangers of him melting and b. the gaze can occasionally feel a bit icky, but this is brilliant fun with a well-loved cast who know EXACTLY what they’re doing. An absolute must watch!

Day 20 #ChristmasMoviesAdvent I’ve resorted to the oldies in the hunt for genuine Christmas charm and romance and of course this delivers! Mitchum’s violent kisses are a bit cape fearsome so I was rooting for the other guy but Janet’s a delight!

Day 14 #ChristmasMoviesAdvent I was saving this all year after the glowing reviews but its melancholy mood and generally unlikeable males really disappointed. Yuletide introspection is fine but I need a bit more jingle jingle and joy please and thank you.

Day 13 #ChristmasMoviesAdvent I wanted cheeky-chappy Taron to make this into a more of a Die Hard sorta fun vibe but it’s a wee bit too serious for what it is. Entirely watchable but coulda been a contender if they’d let him sparkle a little!

Day 9 #ChristmasMoviesAdvent loved the Santa logistics beginning and end, but the Dungeons n Dragons-style middle let my mind wander to who’d be better cast in this misfire blockbuster couldabeen, I think they needed someone a bit nerdier and funnier than Chris Evans. 13yr old boys will love it!

Dad chuckling away any time Bill Nighy was on screen reminded me that most of this is still very funny, actually! 🎄❤️
