Blessed feast of Archbishop William Laud to all. He may have been overbearing and impolitic and occasionally brutal, but in so many things he was, I think, correct. His (rather crudely drawn) arms are up in my study.

Wild afternoon at Wrexham v Blackpool. Missed the first goal because the far goal was not visible in the fog. Saw Mullin’s wonder strike, though, and Fletcher’s pen. Great 3 points in weird conditions.

Then again, should be expected, really. We all know that Blackpool and a bit hazy go together.

We had a lovely Lessons & Carols last night in Cilcain, and I’m looking forward to tonight when we have it in Llanferres. I find it so moving to hear the whole story from the beginning and how God reaches out constantly in love. The carol singing isn’t too bad either!

Excellent night out at the Racecourse watching the lads batter Exeter. Commanding performance, one of the best I’ve seen this season. Two straight snow days for the kids. Only one for mom, so after I take a funeral today is going to be lads and dad snow day!

The early days of Twitter were fantastic. It was such a great way to meet people with similar interests, even to meet in real life. Then it went from a fun pool party to an open cesspit. I mourn the loss of what it was, but not so much the loss of what it has become.

Remembrance Day is a good time to ponder on the truth that democracy is only as strong as the defence we are willing to give it. The sacrifice of so many was offered that we might receive a great gift. Let us not squander it and make vain their sacrifice through our own apathy. #RemembranceDay

Big last week! First half marathon, work retreat, Cilcain show annual meeting where we got to give away thousands to charity, Charley made the all-club team of the week, and gearing up for an exciting Saturday as well!
