Beautiful high-res work from the Delacour lab: a basal supracellular ‘actin-star’ network in intestinal villi. With imaging, ablation and myosin perturbations, they support a tissue-level actomyosin tension scaffold— another great companion to our extrusion findings.

The gut constantly renews itself. Cells keep the tissue under tension, engaging in a tug-of-war. Weaker cells that can’t counter their neighbours’ pull extrude. This maintains mechanical homeostasis, ensuring stability and protecting the intestinal barrier.

Möglicherweise ist es sogar hilfreich das zu tun. Wenn diese Plattform ehm. Twitter ersetzt, Informationsaustausch und demokratischen Diskurs ermöglicht, bedeutet es auch dass die Zerstörung einer Institution allein nicht genügt. Es zeut vielmehr von demokratischer Resilienz.
